Continuing my explorations of Neoclassical form, this recording is my answer to a challenge posed by Blitheriver during my PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC listening party. I feel I have honored said challenge and offer it to you here. Based on a classic Mexican expressionist film from 1934 by Juan Bustillo Oro, these are musical impressions of friendship, love and betrayal and revenge that form its central plot, each protagonist offering his own version of events and subsequent consequences.
